E-shop solution
- Electronic storefront framework developed to create various e-shops quickly.
- Each e-shop is capable of using different payment gateways and shipping. It is easy to set-up new products using the storefront editor to build product characteristics and tailoring the product display on the site.
The customer desired to have their own e-shop solution since they had numerous clients who wanted to have e-shops. We worked with the customer to create a number of different e-shops using x-cart and osCommerce. The customer was keen on creating his own e-commerce platform, like x-cart or osCommerce, to promote and sell the solution to those requiring e-shops.
We were excited about building the core of an e-shop that had the potential to compete with osCommerce and allow e-shops to be built and deployed quickly.
The e-shop solution we developed was "DarCart". DarCart is fully supported with well-known payment gateways such as PayPal, Linkpoint, Authorize.net, 2checkout, Verisign etc. DarCart works with Smarty templates and it is highly accessible for developers wishing to implement any design.

Since all the rights to this solution rest with our customer, we are unable to provide a demonstration of cybermalls created on the DarCart base. However, this project is a key example of our experience in the area of electronic storefronts. A couple of examples are listed below:
A prime example of DarCart's ability to expand is demonstrated by its conversion of an online lingerie shop that we had been supporting prior to DarCart. We added gift certificate features to meet customer requirements.
Another DarCart implementation was an easy e-shop called "Carvations" where the item was presented only by few parameters: title, description, picture and price. While there was nothing notably unique about this, the project was of great importance as it showed the ease of building a storefront with DarCart.
The next example is a site that required considerable amount of customisation by DarCart. This e-shop solution was integrated to an online store that sold only one product - eyelash conditioner. While it is easy to setup DarCart on an e-shop that sells only the one item like Revitalash does, the latter required a lot of features that were not built-in to DarCart. In this case, the customer wanted to track online sales to resellers, who are able to buy the product online with bulk discounts. We also had to provide for the capability for resellers to be able to pay for products on an installment basis.

WebDevs doubles up: Records phenomenal growth in the last year
Economic downturn or not, we're thrilled to announce our exceptional growth during 2009. We're literally double the size now, both in terms of revenues as well as our team size! Equally importantly, it was a year when we delivered on some large, exciting and innovative projects, and in the process enhancing our capabilities and augmenting our strong development portfolio. We successfully executed one of the largest iPhone application development projects, involving a dedicated team of 4 iPhone developers, a designers and a team of testers who worked on this demanding application for about 10 months.
Further strengthening our mobile application development capabilities, we have now increased the size of our Android team to work on porting the aforementioned application to the Android platform.
We've also added Adobe AIR development capabilities to. After a successful Adobe AIR pilot project for a well-known client, the client has entrusted us with ongoing development of desktop applications to be used in their showrooms necessitating the formation of a dedicated Adobe AIR team.
We'd have loved to talk more about these projects to give a better idea of the depth of our expertise; unfortunately, client confidentiality and NDAs take precedence.
